More than two hundred and fifty acts on nearly 2 dozen stages scattered all through New Orleans’ historic France Quarter and along the Mississippi River front are on touch for the 2019 French One fourth Festival.
The particular lineup, announced Tuesday, consists of contemporary funk band Galactic, which is making its event debut on April eleven, opening day. Other planned artists include Irma Jones, Amanda Shaw, Little Freddie King, Jon Cleary, Ellis Marsalis, John Boutte plus Rebirth Brass Band.
Many of the acts introduced this year were rebooked right after rain canceled their 2018 performances. The four-day free of charge festival, presented by Quarter, concludes April 14 .
Organizers approximated 2018 attendance at 560, 000. Had Saturday’ ersus schedule not been terminated due to weather, they say the amount would have been higher. Four-day attendance in 2017 has been estimated at 700, 500.
