Colombian artist Beéle has released his debut studio album “Borondo” via 5020 Records. The 26-track project spans reggaetón, pop, Afrobeats and Caribbean-influenced styles and includes guest appearances from Marc Anthony and Carla Morrison, according to the announcement.
The label says the album follows the success of Beéle’s single “mi refe,” which it describes as having gone 3x platinum, and comes after the artist reached No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart with a prior single. Standout tracks include “Dios me oyó,” a collaboration with Marc Anthony, and “time and space,” an English-language ballad.
The release coincides with Beéle’s nominations at the Heat Latin Music Awards, where the announcement says he leads the field with seven nods, including Best Urban Artist and Song of the Year, ahead of the May 29 ceremony.
