Pop singer-songwriter Thomas Day has announced a new EP, “my bad,” due October 9 on Arista Records. He also released the project’s first single, “human nature,” along with an accompanying video.
According to the announcement, the five-song EP explores the vulnerability of early adulthood and young love, and was written almost entirely by Day himself. The label describes it as a creative turning point in which the artist leaned into his own instincts rather than external expectations. Day said the new single reflects “a fear of losing something special with someone for something temporary.”
The release follows Day’s 2025 EP “kids,” whose single “she got a thing about her” has drawn more than 32 million Spotify streams, according to the announcement. Day previously toured as a headliner and in support of acts including Joshua Bassett, The Driver Era and Nessa Barrett. He is set to headline a show in Salt Lake City on October 8 and perform at Austin City Limits Music Festival on October 11.
