Danish singer-songwriter Tina Dico has released “This Fire!,” the second single from her upcoming album “Balancing Small Things On Sharp Edges,” due October 23. The track marks the first recorded collaboration between Dico and Icelandic artist Emiliana Torrini, known for “Jungle Drum” and her vocal contribution to “Gollum’s Song” from The Lord of the Rings. It follows lead single “Surfing,” released earlier this summer.
Dico says the song explores what she describes as the shift that follows the early stages of a career, once the initial novelty of being discovered has passed. She says she wanted Torrini specifically for the track, citing their friendship formed during her years living in Iceland and her long-standing admiration for Torrini’s work. The album was co-produced by Dico and her husband and musical partner Helgi Jonsson at Big Spring Studio in Seltjarnarnes, Iceland.
According to the announcement, Dico has topped the Danish album charts five times, has performed at Roskilde and Glastonbury, and played to a sold-out crowd of 15,000 at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena in April 2026. Touring behind the new album begins with dates in Ottawa and Toronto, Canada, before moving to Europe in November.
