Rammstein’s concert film “Live in Mexico City” will open in cinemas globally on November 4, distributed by Trafalgar Releasing in most territories and by Filmwelt Distribution in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Alto Adige and Luxembourg. According to the announcement, the film is screening in more than 1,200 cinemas across over 40 countries, with additional showtimes being added to meet demand. France will get the release on November 6, and Japan on November 5 and 18.
The film documents the German band’s three-night run at Mexico City’s Foro Sol stadium in October 2022, part of a global stadium tour that ran from 2019 to 2024 and included the band’s first-ever North American stadium dates. It was shot in 4K by director Paul Dugdale, whose previous concert-film credits include the Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Elton John and Adele, and features renditions of songs including “Deutschland,” “Du Hast” and “Sonne.”
Rammstein plans to release the concert film on home video alongside a full-length live album, with physical editions available for pre-order. The band’s catalog includes the 2019 untitled album, which the band says reached the U.S. Top 10, and 2022’s ZEIT.
