The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) has appointed Jordan Evans to its Board of Directors, the organization announced. Evans is the founder of Golden Child Recordings and S&R Management, and co-manages R&B artist Daniel Caesar alongside longtime business partner Matthew Burnett.
Evans has worked as a producer and songwriter for artists including Jay-Z, Eminem, Drake, John Legend and H.E.R., according to the announcement. CARAS President and CEO Allan Reid said Evans’ experience across production, songwriting, management and executive roles would bring valuable perspective to the board as it works to support Canadian music.
Evans joins the 2026-2027 CARAS and MusiCounts Board, which includes Chair Julie Adam of Universal Music Canada, alongside directors from Warner Music Canada, Sony Music Entertainment Canada, Live Nation Canada and other companies. CARAS also thanked outgoing director Mark Harrison for four years of service on the board.
