Men Without Hats are launching the “You Can Dance If You Want Tour” in support of their new album ‘On the Moon,’ out now. The trek begins Nov. 27 in Mount Dora, Florida, and runs through the U.S. East Coast and Midwest in December, with a New Year’s Eve stop in Palm Springs before crossing Canada in January and February 2027 and continuing to Australia in May.
The Montreal New Wave band, known for “The Safety Dance” and “Pop Goes the World,” is fronted by founding member Ivan Doroschuk, with current members Sahara Sloan, Sho Murray and Adrian White. ‘On the Moon’ was recorded with producer Brian Howes across sessions in the Comox Valley and Victoria, British Columbia, with mixing by Mark Needham and mastering by Howie Weinberg. The album’s lead single, “I Love The ’80s,” has drawn more than 1.5 million YouTube views, according to the announcement.
The tour includes guest appearances from fellow Canadian New Wave acts The Spoons on Western Canadian dates and Carole Pope on Ontario dates. The band says its catalog has drawn more than 31 million YouTube views and 11 million Spotify listeners worldwide.
