Folk singer-songwriter Tia McGraff has released “In Your Dreams, Jake: The Trail Goes On,” the second middle-grade novel in her book series based on Jake, a Husky she adopted from a Nashville animal shelter. The 233-page book follows Jake’s adventures as he tours with his musician family, according to the announcement, and includes original songs by McGraff and her husband and musical partner Tommy Parham.

The book has received a five-star review from Readers’ Favorite and praise from an education specialist with the Grand Erie District School Board, the announcement says. McGraff and Parham have built a touring career together, including performances at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe and festival stages in Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Wales. McGraff was inducted into the Norfolk Music Hall of Fame this year and has previously won Social Justice and Peace Songs of the Year at the EmPower Songwriting Awards.

The Jake book series has also tied into charitable efforts, with proceeds supporting the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and local animal rescue organizations, according to the announcement. McGraff and Parham have developed a related live children’s show, Songs’n’Tails, and will perform a series of concerts and appearances across Ontario through December.
