New Jersey singer-songwriter Hunter Moss has premiered his new single “Let You Down” via Americana UK. According to the announcement, the track deals with self-sabotage, inner conflict and the impulse to walk away from one’s life and expectations, imagery that surfaces in the song’s reference to moving to the sea.
Moss developed his guitar-based songwriting after studying through online Berklee College of Music courses and later at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, following time spent in Tucson’s local music scene as a sound engineer. His early work draws on folk and Americana, with touchstones including Mumford & Sons, Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan and Caamp, while he has said he wants to move toward more atmospheric, dream-pop-influenced territory in future releases.
