Octave Records, the audiophile label owned by PS Audio, has released a 30-disc box set called “Octave Records: The Collection,” compiling titles from its Audiophile Masters, The Art of Hi-Fi and The Audiophile’s Guide series alongside recordings by artists signed to the label. The set spans genres including jazz, Americana, flamenco, ragtime, classical and pop, and is recorded using the label’s Pure DSD process, which the company says captures audio at a higher resolution than conventional CD sampling.

Each disc is a hybrid SACD/CD, playable on standard CD players as well as SACD, DVD and Blu-ray players, with a high-resolution DSD layer accessible via SACD-compatible equipment. Artists featured in the collection include Bonnie and Taylor Sims, Bill Kopper, Jude Kofie, Clay Rose and Gabriel Mervine.

PS Audio CEO Paul McGowan said the label’s goal is to present artists’ performances with maximum fidelity and minimal distortion between listener and performer. The box set is priced at $299 and sold only as a complete collection, with free shipping within the US.
