XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas reopened Nov. 5 following a renovation of the venue, which first opened in December 2008. RÜFÜS DU SOL headlined the opening night, with a four-day celebration running through Nov. 8 that also includes sets from The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris and a back-to-back performance from Diplo and HUGEL.
According to the announcement, the redesign includes 1,200 kinetic pendants, gold-mirrored LED screens and custom audio and lighting systems built specifically for the space. Wynn says the venue, located in the Encore Esplanade, spans more than 40,000 square feet and can hold up to 1,840 guests indoors and 3,121 including outdoor areas.
Michael Wood, vice president of creative at Wynn Design & Development, and Adam Norotsky, vice president of nightlife at Wynn Las Vegas, both framed the overhaul as a continuation of the club’s legacy rather than a break from it. The venue has previously been recognized as a top-grossing U.S. nightclub and has received multiple Best Nightclub honors from the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association, per the release. Wynn says additional artist bookings will be announced in coming weeks.
