Songwriter and artist Aldae released his new single “Hush My Heart” on Nov. 6, following his previous track “Blur,” which appeared on the “Practical Magic 2” soundtrack. The song is set to appear ahead of an EP the artist plans to release in early 2027.
According to the announcement, the track explores the ambiguity of a relationship’s end, drawing on the fear of an unexpected run-in with an ex-partner in New York City. Aldae, whose given name is Gregory Hein, described the song as drawn from personal experience in material accompanying the release.
Aldae is known primarily as a songwriter, with credits including Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers” and “Used to Be Young,” Justin Bieber’s “2 Much,” “As I Am,” “Unstable” and “Somebody,” and Shawn Mendes and Tainy’s “Summer of Love.” He has also written with Khalid. “Hush My Heart” marks his continued push into releasing music under his own name.
