Nashville-based singer-songwriter Bennett Woolsey has released a new EP, “Bye Gone’s Be,” now available on streaming platforms. According to the announcement, the project is Woolsey’s most personal work to date, touching on nostalgia, independence and the transitions of early adulthood, including breakups, long-distance relationships and self-discovery.

Woolsey wrote all of the songs on the EP himself while working with producers on the music’s sound. He previously fronted indie rock band Brookside, whose single “Jimmy the Chameleon” has drawn more than 12 million streams, the announcement says. He also recently collaborated with artist Maryjo on the duet “Used to You.”

With the new EP, Woolsey continues his transition to a solo career, blending modern Americana and indie influences with narrative songwriting drawn from his own life, according to the release.
