Slash and Rich Fortus are working on a new Guns N’ Roses album, and now Duff McKagan is the third member of the band to confirm that the task is happening once the group wraps its reunion tour.
In an interview, McKagan confirmed that he’s heard a few of the new material Axl is working on for the album. However, he clarified that there are no specific timeline regarding when the band will get into the particular studio to begin recording.
“Oh, it’s real, but the fun component and the cool part regarding Guns N’ Roses is definitely something we don’t actually talk about, and what occurs next just happens.” He said, “We have never been that band where there is an immediate schedule of when we do something. I’ve heard several magnificent stuff that Axl provides, really cool stuff he’s been working on. So I’m excited about the possibilities with this, of course. I don’t mean to get anybody rabid. Our day will happen when it happens, that’s for certain.”
