John Mayer took a break from the Grateful Dead project, aka Dead & Company, to do a nationwide solo tour with his band. The tour kicked off Friday night at Albany’s Times Union Center. This was his first time on a full arena tour, with a two-set approach so he can pack more songs into his set-lists for his wild and faithful fans.
During his show in New York, he opened with a fan-favorite, “Belief” and he closed out with one of his most recent singles, “I Guess I Just Feel Like.” During his second set, he whipped out one of his favorite covers “The Beautiful Ones” by Prince, after performing his all-time classic “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room.”
