Sleater-Kinney Shares Photo From Studio with St. Vincent
Well this is MASSIVE news! Sleater-Kinney looks to be back in the studio with none other than St. Vincent herself Annie Erin Clark at the production helm.
Check out this photo they just shared below. We’ll have more on this when we know more, but following up St. Vincent’s wild last year or so promoting her LP, Masseduction, perhaps she’s taking that time in the studio to help Sleater-Kinney release some new music and announce a new tour. They often don’t get together and play music unless they know something’s going to spark out of it, so this could be HUGE.

Sleater-Kinney hasn’t really been active in years, but the core trio of the group often stay busy with other projects. Carrie Brownstein is usually busy with Portlandia stuff, but that series has officially run its course. Perhaps it’s because she wanted something more to happen with her first love, S-K.

Radiohead Releases “Ill Wind” for Streaming/Download
Radiohead has released a track into the wild today called “Ill Wind” that previously saw the light of day only as a bonus track on A Moon Shaped Pool deluxe editions. You can hear it below via Spotify.
The band is usually short with the announcements lately but and they’re following up the release of Thom York’e Suspiria with other news that the band will be active this year but in their various incarnations. I recently caught one of the Thom Yorke solo shows that he did with Nigel and Tarik and it was absolutely mind-bending.
Love the music he’s continuing to push out. Here the “new” Radiohead track below:

SETLIST / VIDEO: Soule Monde with Trey Anastasio @ Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre, NYC 1.10.19
Last night was one of those nights when you’re watching from the couch on the West Coast, checking Twitter sporadically and thinking to yourself, “why do I NOT live in New York City?!”
Trey Anastasio from Phish strolled over to the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre to see his friends Soule Monde, featuring keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and drummer Russ Lawton, a duo prominently part of Trey’s normal rhythm section in his Trey Anastasio Band solo projects, and proceeded to join them for 90 minutes of pure funk/jazz and tons of improv around a set of Soule Monde songs with Cyro Baptista even joining in for the fun. Wow.
Scotty B at JamBase was in attendance and brought back a great review from the show. He was also able to get some clips and it just looked so incredible from the couch. Dying that I couldn’t be there.

Tips For Your Website Templates
Our newest website template is all about the animation. Each variation features a funky little design that smoothly sails in as your page loads. It’s perfect for adding a quirky little bit of flair to make your music website unique. So which one is best for you? Let’s check it out!
Unique animation
Behind your website title, you can choose an animated flourish (or leave it off, if you’d rather). Choose from a diamond, floral wreath, plaque with floral bouquet, octopus, or a brushstroke. This will draw attention right to your name.
You can align the title and animation to the left, right, or center, plus move it vertically to be sure it’s in the best possible spot for your design.

Eyes on your Image
To polish off the header area of your website, adjust the spot where it meets your content by making a point, or a straight line. Then you can change the header height so it fits your image just right.
Need to add an image filter to give your photo that special something? No problem – custom image filters are right at your fingertips.
Accent elements
It’s a good idea to use section titles to break up your content and make it visually pleasing. With the Motiv template, these titles come with fun accent elements.
We’ve set one for each variation, but you’re welcome to use the pointing hand, crown, diamond, or none at all, on any version.

Build a mobile-ready music website with the Motiv template to wow your fans! Try Bandzoogle free today!
Fonts! Fonts!
There are two new fonts being rolled out along with this template. They’re called Edo and Selima. Both have a handwritten look to them – just right for a songwriter!

Make it your own
As with all of our templates, we’ve chosen modern colors and fonts as a starting off point. You can use those for a cohesive look, or change it up in the Theme Editor as you like. Any time you change your template, all of your content stays intact, so have fun trying something new!
To get a feel for the Motiv template and what you can do with it, watch the video below:
Four Variations
One of these versions is sure to suit you. The neutral version works well for a big band or orchestra, while the elegant variation is perfect for a singer-songwriter.
Are you a record label looking for a new template? Try the playful version of Motiv for a classic, clean look with a hint of pizzazz.
Finally, the sombre version will work well for a music business like a recording studio or producer.
Check them all out and see which one you can use to change up your website’s look!

The Motiv template will make your band stand out from the crowd with its quirkiness. It will also give you a professional look with its clean lines. It will work well for a website with separate pages, or a one-page website. Give it a try and make it your own!
