$ir Mike has embodied hip-hop music as a part of him for more than eight years. Coming from the East Coast and moving to Miami, Florida, where he now lives, $ir Mike has made waves through his performance at shows, festivals, and college parties all over the East Coast. His unique style fused with underworld vibes and introspection has set him apart as an artist and has kept him relatable and relevant up till date. He does not want to sound like many new-school hip-hop acts. He is sticking to the original, raw hip-hop sound that got hip-hop widely spread in the first place.
$ir Mike’s early musical influences include Tupac and Johnny Cash. And since he decided to go full-fledged into his music, he created his music label imprint called 333 Record Label. This has put him in the driving seat of creating, maintaining, and managing his content. He released a mixtape recently, which he named “Dreadication,” a collection of remixed songs.
He is passionate about changing the state of hip-hop music in the world, and in his words, “In an overly saturated market with not such dope music, you can find back to back originals, remixes, and features all here. I am all about bringing that good old hip-hop flavor.”
$ir Mike is also an ardent skater who enjoys skating more than anything else. He aims to appeal to a wide range of audiences ranging from felons to religious folks and all types of people from different walks of life. “Felons seem to rock with the music more than priests, but I got a few songs for the Most High,” he says.
To give his music some life, he branched into designing and creating merchandise goods bearing meaningful messages that people can see and think about his brand. Earlier in his career, he didn’t pay much attention to promoting his songs because he wanted to stay off the spotlight. But now, seeing what hip-hop looks like in the world today, he is ready to be a part of the much-needed change, and if possible, spearhead that change.
$ir Mike is one of the few artists who dedicate time to songwriting, and he spent years developing that aspect of the art while building a brand that represents the music. More than eight years later, he still has lofty ambitions for himself and his record label. “More artists are going to join 333 Records, and in five years, I’d like to see us going on tour all over the world and putting out more music,” he says.
$ir Mike’s goal is to be well-recognized and respected in the hip-hop world. He also intends to make a lot of money from music that will help him invest in other endeavors and set his family up for life.” Music means everything to him, and that is why he is doing everything possible to get his music to mainstream hip-hop audiences. His lyrics bear striking messages that highlight society’s current realities, and he doesn’t intend to stop anytime soon.
