Determined to flood the airwaves with positivity and encouragement, up-and-coming hip-hop duo The Collective Conscious launched their debut album We Are Energy amid an atmosphere of unparalleled fear and uncertainty. Recognizing the value in empowering listeners to challenge their fears at such a precarious time, their actions have introduced hope to millions of music fans all over the world.

The Collective Conscious is made up of Jesse Solomon Schwartz, better known as YngSolomon, and Godofredo Ceja, who goes by The7thLetter. The two first crossed paths on the basketball court, attending rival high schools but didn’t become friends until 2017 when they synchronistically met in line to The Emerald Cup. They share interests in music, cannabis and spirituality, specifically Nichiren Buddhism. The goal of this spiritual practice is to create world peace by helping individuals achieve their Highest potential thru chanting Nam Myo Renge Kyo.

YngSolomon and 7thLetter have been doing just that. To promote their debut album, they decided to hop on an RV and do a west coast tour starting on the Golden Gate Bridge then make stops in Santa Monica, Venice Beach, San Diego, and Phoenix. Throughout the tour they filmed their California Days music video, which has generated over 2 million views on YouTube. The video shows segments performing atop their RV in busy intersections of San Diego as well as street performances in front of Venice Beach Skate Park.

Upon completing the tour, YngSolomon began organizing pop-up shows in the north bay to provide an opportunity to connect through live music while creating a platform for aspiring artists. The second round of their album promotion reached Ocean Beach, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, the Russian River, and Santa Rosa. During Memorial Day, the mayor of San Francisco chastised them for organizing 10 hours of live music activities at Ocean Beach; 5 Bay Area newspapers associated them with a gathering of over 1000.

The two believe that maintaining human connection throughout the plandemic is vital and trust individuals know what’s best for their personal health. YngSolomon and 7thLetter hope to inspire fans to move toward their goals despite the world crisis, and despite criticisms.

“Go for your dreams. What everyone else thinks is none of your business. Do what you love. Take one step toward your goal every day, no matter how small. If you miss a day, that’s okay. The fact that it’s on your mind is progress. Keep moving forward,” YngSolomon shared.

Their ultimate dream is to inspire on a global scale, selling out arenas and speaking at transformational events, influencing the world to embrace peace, compassion, and courage by being the change.

The Collective Conscious is preparing to release their sophomore album in Jan 2021. YngSolomon is currently scouting private property venues for events in the spring and summer.
