Iron Maiden opened the North American leg of their 50th anniversary “Run for Your Lives” world tour with two shows at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, both of which the band’s promotion says were sold out. The band played a more than two-hour set drawing heavily on material from its early catalog, including “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” “Run to the Hills,” “The Trooper” and “The Number of the Beast,” according to the announcement.

The North American run, produced by Live Nation, marks 45 years since the band’s first visit to the region on the 1981 Killer World Tour and includes stadium dates such as the Alamodome in San Antonio and two nights at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, which the announcement notes will be the band’s 25th appearance in the city. Megadeth is supporting on all headline dates, with Anthrax joining select stadium shows.

The tour features a new production designed for large outdoor venues and follows an extensive European run. After North America, Iron Maiden is scheduled to continue with stadium shows across Latin America, New Zealand, Australia and Japan. By the end of the tour’s 2025-26 run, the band says it will have performed for more than 3 million fans across 36 countries.
