Rush has added four arena shows to its Fifty Something tour, with new dates in Houston (Toyota Center, Oct. 1), St. Louis (Enterprise Center, Oct. 21), Cincinnati (Heritage Bank Center, Oct. 23) and Pittsburgh (PPG Paints Arena, Nov. 15). The additions extend a run that already spans cities across Canada, the United States, Mexico and the EU/UK.
Tickets go on sale Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. local time, with a Citi cardmember presale running Sept. 1-3 and a general artist presale beginning Sept. 1. The tour, led by co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson with touring drummer Anika Nilles, is billed as a career-spanning celebration of the band’s catalog and a tribute to late drummer Neil Peart.
In comments included in the announcement, Lee and Lifeson said they had built extra rest days into the original schedule out of caution about touring but decided to add dates after finding themselves holding up well on the road. The band said the new shows will return them to cities they described as having always been supportive of them.
