The David Bowie estate has launched Bowie80, a series of events, retail partnerships and exhibitions marking the late artist’s 80th birthday year in 2027. The campaign, unveiled via a dedicated site, bowie80.davidbowie.com, kicks off with a partnership with Nordstrom featuring limited-edition fashion collections from designers including Undercover, Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith and AllSaints, sold in Seattle, New York and Chicago flagship stores and online.

Additional initiatives include a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame retail pop-up and fan activations in Cleveland, a photography exhibition titled Strange Fascination opening in New York and West Hollywood via Morrison Hotel Gallery, and a new symphonic concert production called Bowie (breaking) Glass combining Bowie’s recordings with the music of Philip Glass, premiering in Copenhagen in spring 2027. The immersive show David Bowie: You’re Not Alone, currently running at London’s Lightroom, will expand to Manchester, Brighton and Hamburg next year.

Other planned activity includes new merchandise lines through Perryscope Productions and apparel licensees such as Rowdy Sprout, Roots of Fight and Girl Skateboards, as well as a V&A touring exhibition of artifacts from Bowie’s archive beginning in Dundee before moving to Blackpool and other venues through 2029. Organizers say further announcements are expected throughout 2026 and 2027.
