Insomniac and Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) have announced Map Point Summit, a new conference focused on electronic music and rave culture, debuting in May 2027 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The three-day event is scheduled between EDC’s Dusk (May 14-16) and Dawn (May 21-23) weekends, and will bring together promoters, artists, entrepreneurs and industry professionals, according to the announcement.
Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella first revealed the summit during a keynote at ADE’s 30th edition, in a conversation with Billboard Dance Director Katie Bain about the future of rave culture and the need for a stronger independent business ecosystem within the scene. The summit’s name references the early-rave practice of meeting at a designated ‘map point’ before being directed to a party location.
Organizers say the event will combine ADE’s background in industry education with Insomniac’s three-decade history in live dance music events, offering panels, workshops and networking sessions for people across different career stages. Additional programming, speakers and ticket details are expected to be announced in the coming months, with registration open at the event’s website.
