Browser-based DAW Audiotool has announced the winners of its first Let’s Build! hackathon series, a competition that invited developers and musicians to create music apps and tools using NEXUS, the company’s open-source SDK launched earlier this year. According to the announcement, more than 2,000 people signed up, with 18 finalists competing across six categories before judges selected winners.

The category winners include Keep the Beat by Adam Borowski (Music Games), a multiplayer game that exports mixed tracks into Audiotool; Pocket Producer by Wadood Ur Rehman Ranjha (Ideation), an AI agent that converts spoken song ideas into editable arrangements; Score IO by Josh Williams (Composition), which the company says was the judges’ only unanimous pick, converting Audiotool projects into sheet music and MusicXML; BBCVerb by Jack Reynolds (Sound Design), a reverb tool modeling the acoustics of BBC’s Maida Vale studios; Seedbed by Diego Pinzon and Dan Thompson (Connect), which converts projects between Ableton Live and Audiotool; and A&R Assistant by Aina Hirata (Distribution), an AI tool that analyzes tracks and estimates earning potential across streaming, touring and merchandise.

Audiotool co-founder and CEO Andreas Jacobi said the company was impressed by the variety and creativity of entries submitted through the program, which was built around NEXUS, the SDK the company introduced to its platform earlier this year.
