BandLab has updated its Mastering feature to let users adjust the intensity of each preset across 11 levels, rather than applying presets at a single fixed setting. The company says this allows for finer control depending on the track, such as reducing the low-end emphasis of the “Fire” preset or increasing saturation with “Tape.”
The update also introduces four new presets available to Members: Natural, Cinematic, Spatial and Punch, joining the existing Universal, Fire, Clarity and Tape options. According to BandLab, the presets were developed with engineers including Mandy Parnell, Mike Tucci and Maria Elisa Ayerbe.
Separately, BandLab has added a three-band Mastering EQ for Max subscribers, giving users additional control over low, mid and high frequencies before exporting a track.
