Colombian artist Beéle has released his debut album BORONDO across streaming platforms through 5020 Records. The 26-track project features collaborations with Marc Anthony and Carla Morrison, and according to the announcement follows Beéle reaching number one on Spotify’s global Latin chart.
The label describes BORONDO as a genre-spanning collection touching reggaetón, pop, Afrobeats and Caribbean-influenced rhythms, drawing on Beéle’s upbringing on Colombia’s coast. Notable tracks include “mi refe,” which the announcement says has been certified 3x Platinum, the Marc Anthony collaboration “Dios me oyó,” and “time and space,” an English-language ballad.
Beéle is also set to lead nominations at the Heat Latin Music Awards later this month, earning seven nods including Best Urban Artist and Song of the Year, with the ceremony scheduled for May 29.
