Berklee College of Music has appointed Vickie Nauman, founder and CEO of CrossBorderWorks, to develop and teach a new course as part of Berklee Online’s Master of Arts in Music Supervision program. Nauman will author the full syllabus for and teach a 12-week course titled “Music Supervision for Games, Social Media, and Emerging Technology,” according to the announcement.
The course will cover licensing and business models across video games, social media, extended reality and brand partnerships, along with generative AI and revenue models, the announcement says. Nauman has spent more than 25 years advising companies including Spotify, Ubisoft, Riot Games, Bose, Harman and Beat Saber on music rights and technology strategy, and previously held roles at RealNetworks, KEXP-Seattle and Sonos.
Berklee Online says it will host a free webinar with Nauman on December 2 to mark the course’s launch. Enrollment opens in April 2027, with classes starting that June; the course will also be offered a la carte to industry professionals outside the degree program.
