Cascada have released a new single, “Alive,” out now on Universal Music. The track follows “Youtopia,” which came out earlier this summer and marked the start of a new run of material from the dance-pop act.
The song was written with Yann, Manuel, Michael Koch and Leon Cebeci. Frontwoman Natalie Horler said the track is about the feeling of coming through difficult times and feeling reborn, and that the band aimed to blend the sound longtime fans know with new influences.
Cascada, fronted by Horler, broke through with “Everytime We Touch” and went on to release hits including “Miracle,” “What Hurts the Most,” “Evacuate the Dancefloor” and “Pyromania.” According to the announcement, the group has sold millions of records and amassed billions of streams over a career spanning more than two decades.
