Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will release “Burned,” their seventh studio album and first in six years, on January 29, 2027, via the band’s own CYHSY label through Secretly Distribution. The announcement comes with the release of the lead single “Fever of the Mind,” which frontman Alec Ounsworth says set the thematic and sonic direction for the rest of the record.

According to the band, the album was shaped by a difficult stretch in Ounsworth’s life, including the end of a relationship and the deaths of his mother, uncle and a close friend. Ounsworth wrote and produced the album at his home studio with longtime collaborator Nick Krill, with mixing by Dave and Mike Fridmann. The band says the songs trace a path from grief toward renewed hope while also engaging with themes of generational trauma.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will support the album with a world tour, opening February 6 in Istanbul before dates across Europe and the UK. A North American headline leg begins April 5 in Washington, D.C., running through a May 15 show in Philadelphia. Tickets go on sale October 23.
