Charleston, S.C. indie rock act Five Door Sedan has released a new single, “Learn To Unlearn,” available now on streaming platforms. The song previews the band’s upcoming sophomore album, due out in October 2026, and features heavy guitars and funk-inflected grooves without a traditional verse-chorus structure, according to the band.

The band says the track was written after a period of discipline gave way to an unrestrained few days spent with a visiting friend, and the accompanying music video reflects that mood, depicting scenes at a rage room and a night of bar-hopping.

Five Door Sedan has played shows with acts including Rome of Sublime with Rome, The 502’s, Penelope Road and Wim Tapley & The Cannons, and earlier this year played what the band describes as a sold-out headline show in Charleston. The band will continue touring through the fall, with an album release show scheduled for October 2 at Charleston Pour House.
