Private equity firm KKR has agreed to acquire a minority stake in BookMyShow, the Indian ticketing and entertainment company. The deal gives KKR exposure to BookMyShow Live, the firm’s concert promotion arm, which has brought major international acts to India in recent years.
BookMyShow Live has staged Indian dates for Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Guns N’ Roses and Post Malone, positioning the company as a key player in the country’s growing live music market.
