Mexican Summer has released a new digital compilation, Everybody’s Got a Song to Sing, bringing together new tracks from artists across the Brooklyn label’s roster, including Cate Le Bon, L’Rain, Sessa, Alex Izenberg and No Joy. The 12-track collection opens with L’Rain’s “Muney” and follows recent album cycles from several contributors, including Le Bon’s Michelangelo Dying, Sessa’s Pequena Vertigem de Amor, and L’Rain’s fata morgana.
The compilation also includes a track from Colin Broster’s 1985 album The Compromise, newly reissued by the label’s archival imprint Anthology Recordings, along with contributions from Starcleaner Reunion, Dan English, Corridos Ketamina, Tonstartssbandht’s Andy Boay, Orchid Salon and Minsk-based act SOYUZ. According to the label, the project follows its 2025 compilation Sitting on the Moon and spans genres including Brazilian popular music, underground Mexican rap, jangle-pop and experimental rock.
The label describes the collection as centered on vocal performance and lyrical songwriting, with a tone that moves between vulnerability and warmth across its wide geographic and stylistic range.
