Peachtree Entertainment has been named co-owner and exclusive operator of The Rail, a new concert venue planned for the Commons Entertainment District in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. The venue, developed in partnership with The Commons, is scheduled to open in early 2027 with a capacity of 2,200, including more than 1,000 seats for theater-style configurations.
Peachtree Entertainment will handle operations, marketing, sponsorship and select programming for the venue, according to the announcement. The company says the space is designed to accommodate national touring acts while retaining an intimate feel, and will include six full-service bars, two outdoor decks, VIP areas and a membership program.
The announcement included new renderings of the venue and said a first wave of shows will be revealed later this year ahead of the planned 2027 opening. The Rail sits within a 43-acre mixed-use district about a mile from downtown Lexington, a location organizers say puts it within a day’s drive of Nashville, Louisville, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Columbus, Knoxville and St. Louis.
