Soneium, the Sony-backed blockchain network, has struck a partnership with South Korean agency DayOneDream, home to BTOB and Lee Chae Yeon, to bring the company’s artist IP onchain. The deal covers concert and content rights tied to DayOneDream’s WAVIST platform.
WAVIST had previously operated on Story, a rival blockchain focused on IP licensing, making this a notable switch in infrastructure providers. The move gives Soneium a foothold in the K-pop sector as blockchain and tokenization efforts continue to draw interest from labels and agencies looking for new rights-management and fan-engagement models.
