Pop singer-songwriter Thomas Day has released his new EP “my bad” via Arista Records. The five-song project explores young love and the transition into adulthood, and according to the announcement was written almost entirely by Day himself, marking what the label describes as a more assured and unfiltered creative turning point for the artist.
The release arrives ahead of Day’s debut performance at Austin City Limits Music Festival on October 11, where he is set to play songs from the EP, including focus track “superstar,” live for the first time. He also has a headlining date in Salt Lake City on October 8.
The EP follows Day’s 2025 release “kids,” whose single “she got a thing about her” has drawn more than 32 million streams on Spotify, according to the announcement. Day previously toured in support of Joshua Bassett, The Driver Era and Nessa Barrett, and headlined his own US-to-EU tour last fall. His 2023 full-length “Love Me for Another Day” has accumulated more than a quarter of a billion streams, per the label.
