Jonah Kagen has released a new single, “Do Better,” via Arista Records, the latest preview of his sophomore album, Eternity of Anything, due October 30. The track addresses a relationship in which devotion is not being reciprocated, according to the announcement.

Kagen wrote, produced, recorded, engineered and mixed the song himself, consistent with his hands-on approach to the full album, which he says he completed in near-total isolation over two to three months. The follow-up to his debut, Sunflowers and Leather, marks a shift from that record’s on-the-road songwriting process to a more inward-looking method, per the announcement.

“Do Better” follows lead single “Don’t Feel Right” and arrives after what the label describes as a breakout year for Kagen, whose debut album reportedly reached No. 3 on Spotify’s Top Albums chart and drew coverage from outlets including Rolling Stone and American Songwriter, according to the announcement.
