BMI has opened a new office on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, Florida, marking an expansion of the performing rights organization’s presence in South Florida. The office opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, alongside BMI executives including CEO Mike O’Neill, EVP/Chief Revenue & Creative Officer Mike Steinberg, and VP of Creative, Latin Jesús González.

According to the company, the new location is intended to better serve music creators across South Florida, Puerto Rico and Latin America. González said the move reflects BMI’s long-term commitment to Latin music, while Steinberg pointed to Miami’s role as a creative hub for the genre.

The opening reception drew songwriters and producers including Mario Quintero Lara, Kike Santander, Albert Hype, Boy Wonder, Natacha Chacin, Paty B and Play-N-Skillz. The evening closed with a performance by Latin pop singer-songwriter Zulia, introduced by Billboard’s Leila Cobo.
