Iron Maiden will release two anniversary vinyl collections in December, marking 40 years since “Somewhere in Time” and 50 years since the band’s formation. A limited-edition Oxblood color vinyl reissue of “Somewhere in Time,” featuring the 2015 remaster, arrives December 4, with an Amazon-exclusive variant that includes a full sleeve poster.
A week later, on December 11, the band will issue “50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980-1992,” a boxed vinyl set spanning the band’s first nine studio albums, from “Iron Maiden” through “Fear of the Dark.” Each title is pressed on a distinct color vinyl, according to the announcement, and the set comes in custom artwork packaging, with an Amazon variant that includes an exclusive anniversary poster.
The releases tie into the band’s ongoing Run for Your Lives Tour, on which the label says the band has been performing material from that album era.
