Fans have been waiting with anticipation for rapper, Kevin Gates to announce a new album, and he finally did on Friday, June 28. He announced that he will be releasing “I’m Him” which will be his first album in almost four years.
Along with this exciting news, he also dropped his new single from the album called “Push It” and his official music for the song which you can watch below:
This track and video conveys the personal growth Gates has achieved in his life including losing 100 pounds.
Gates said in an interview, “Sometimes, your biggest obstacle is you… the idea for the video is pushing myself to become a better version of myself. I’m making the transition from a f*cked-up guy with a good heart and great character traits, into a man with a great heart and no f*cked-up character traits. That is why the song is called ‘Push It.’”
