Singer-songwriter Maiah Wynne has released her new album, Into the Waves, accompanied by a video for the single “Girl Dinner.” Wynne wrote, self-produced and largely recorded the 12-track album during a period that included her first international tour, an international move and a return to education, with many parts tracked on the road using only a laptop. She plays more than a dozen instruments on the record.

The album was mixed by Justin Abel and mastered by Alan Douches, and features contributors including cellist Bethany Joyce, violinist Avelyn Reynolds, guitarist Brooks Berg, drummers Adam Brzycki and Randy Cooke, flugelhorn player Henry Sheppard, and a guest guitar appearance from Rush’s Alex Lifeson, who also plays with Wynne in Envy of None. The track “Another Step” features Dan Avidan.

Into the Waves is out now digitally and on CD, with a vinyl edition due October 30 that pairs the new album with Wynne’s 2024 release Out of the Dark, marking that album’s first vinyl pressing. Wynne will mark the release with a launch show at Piano Smithfield in London on October 14.
