Toronto musician Francesco Alfano has released “Shelter,” the debut single from his new solo project Deadly Alfano. The track blends acoustic folk rock with world music textures and draws thematically on Moroccan red-clay architecture and Renaissance humanism, according to the announcement.

“Shelter” was produced by J.C. Sandoval of St. Doval, mixed by Andrew Lauzon at Hamilton’s Grant Avenue Studio and mastered by Noah Mintz at Lacquer Channel. Alfano previously fronted the Toronto band Lucid Movement and has also performed with St. Doval, including a fall 2025 Ontario tour.

A music video for the song is in the works. Deadly Alfano, with a live lineup including Sandoval, Trison Boyes and Adam Houle, will play a release show at Toronto’s Hard Luck Bar on October 15.
