Matchbox Twenty has announced a 52-date North American tour marking the 30th anniversary of its debut album, “Yourself or Someone Like You.” Promoted by Live Nation, the run kicks off May 15 at Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham, Alabama, and is scheduled to stop at venues including Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, the Hollywood Bowl and Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre. The band will also play Stagecoach Festival on April 25 ahead of the tour.

Special guests joining on select dates include The All-American Rejects, The Wallflowers, David Gray, O.A.R., Matt Nathanson and The Lucky. The anniversary celebration began with what the band describes as a sold-out one-night show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, where Matchbox Twenty performed material from the 1996 debut, and continues with a scheduled appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Tickets go on general sale Friday, October 23, with an artist presale starting October 20 and additional presales running through the week, including one tied to Spotify’s Reserved by Spotify program. According to the announcement, “Yourself or Someone Like You” is diamond-certified and 12-times platinum, and the band has sold more than 40 million records worldwide since forming.
