Oak View Group has named Cisco an official technology partner, a deal aimed at standardizing networking infrastructure across OVG’s venues. As part of the agreement, Cisco also becomes an official partner of five OVG-managed arenas: Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, UBS Arena in New York, Moody Center in Austin, Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, and CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.
According to the announcement, Climate Pledge Arena, UBS Arena and CFG Bank Arena already use Cisco systems spanning enterprise networking, data center, security and collaboration tools, while Moody Center and Acrisure Arena will be upgraded with Cisco technology over the course of the partnership. OVG says the goal is to build an AI-ready, scalable technology foundation across its venue portfolio.
OVG Chief Technology Officer Katee LaPoff said the partnership is meant to improve consistency and reliability for teams, talent and guests across the company’s venues. Cisco’s Head of Global Sponsorships, Anne Ristau, said the company aims to provide a secure and scalable technology backbone for OVG’s global venue network. The companies plan to develop joint marketing programs, according to OVG.
