DaBaby’s Controversy Keeps Going: What’s Coming Next?

0

For the past two-and-a-half weeks, the name DaBaby constantly appears in tabloids because of his “loud” performance at Rolling Loud Miami on July 24. In a nutshell, the rapper spoke about LGBTQ+ community, women, and people with HIV/AIDS saying, “If you don’t show up today with HIV/AIDS, or any of them deadly transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two-three weeks, then put your cell phone lighter up. Ladies, if your p**** smell like water, put your cell phone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d*** in the parking lot, put your cell phone lighter up.” To say that the crowd and live stream viewers were shocked means to say the least, and the reaction started spreading across social media immediately, calling everyone to cancel the artist.

As soon as DaBaby found out that people on the Internet weren’t happy with his performance, he couldn’t keep himself from answering, using Instagram Stories to record 19 videos of him speaking (which have already disappeared). The highlights of the videos include him saying, “What me and my fans do at the live show, it don’t concern you all n***** on the internet or you bitter bi**** on the internet. It’s not y’all’s business. What I do at a live show is for the live show… My gay fans don’t got f***ing with AIDS, stupid a** n*****. The don’t got AIDS. My gay fans, they take care of themselves. They ain’t no nasty gay n*****…They aint no junkies in the street… They got class… They ain’t sucking no d*** in no parking lot,” and so on.

The rapper tried to point out that people who didn’t attend the show have no rights to discuss it (seems like Rolling Loud’s organizers didn’t notify him about the live stream), that they twisted his words. He went on to say that he said nothing homophobic but tried to point out that his gay fans have “class,” therefore they can’t catch the disease.

DaBaby Addresses Rolling Loud AIDS Comments and Gay Controversy

The first public person who commented DaBaby’s words was Dua Lipa, who had the rapper on the remix of her song “Levitating,” released in 2020. “I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments…I know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community”, said the singer.

PR’s With No Ego’s Press Release

Record Label: Long Money Entertainment

Release Date: 7-16-2021

Single: “THEY KNOW”

Artist: “YUNG STIZZ”

Region: Buffalo, NY

For so many artists, it’s impossible to make a big impact in the entertainment business. With an excess of aspirants and a shortage of quality talent, it’s harder for an artist to obtain the listeners’ undivided attention. Real hip-hop enthusiasts look for much more. They want to be a part of something special; just look at the success of 50cent’s G-Unit, Camron’s Dipset, Puffy’s Bad Boy and Jay-Z & Dame Dash’s Roc-A-Fella Records. Those labels provided much more than just music. People admired the way they spoke, the way they dressed, in short, their lifestyles were emulated across the world. There’s no question they made a major impact but their secret was the right timing. Their timing was perfect, flawless even. When listeners needed something more, more was provided.

With those “Gravy Train” days gone and the current state of hip-hop, something more is not wanted but it’s definitely needed. To duplicate past icon’s successes might be nearly impossible, some think. To have that type of movement you would need an artist of high magnitude and that’s Buffalo’s own, Stizz. With his artistry, the Buffalo native brings together authenticity mixed with intense fiery themes of strength, resilience, remorse and sculpts them into melodic pieces that are guided by the original King’s of Hip Hop. Stizz’s music can easily be described as hood tales but if you listen closely, there’s stories that provide hope which takes one’s mind through a journey. A journey through his lyrics are laced with infectious beats and hooks that’ll definitely keep new listeners coming back for more.

Stizz is a student of the game, which serves as his journal of all the interactions he’s had in his life. He’s absorbed all things associated with his experiences that life has thrown his way. He may be branded cocky at first glance, but his humbleness and respect for the game are equally refreshing as he looks to extend his legacy by providing aspiring music to his generation, but just doing it Stizz’s way. While growing up in a neighborhood labeled as a place where youth have no real aspirations in life, Stizz being born an entrepreneur, he chose to go against that grain. Positioning himself as Long Money Entertainment’s premiere artist, only time will tell the type of impact Stizz will have on the music industry. With CEO Jay Long backing this King, there is no telling where they’re both going. With experience and past success of launching careers such as Benny the Butcher and Conway, it seems Stizz is in excellent hands. This play was put together by Shakezdaghetto, CEO of PR’s With No Egos LLC and Jay Long.

JØREN’s musical style is rooted in EDM, but he has continually created impacts across other areas of the music industry. He is the creative genius behind some of the most captivating Billboard hits and Hollywood movie scores. The visionary has also produced sound design for Top 10 Billboard Artists. Lil Baby, Lil Durk, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Iann Dior, Lil Tecca, Offset, Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker, Post Malone, and Young Thug, to name a few.

Furthermore, JØREN worked on the track entitled “Pantone Blue,” featuring Alec Beretz, where he collaborated with DJ Sidereal and T.I. himself. He is also recognized for his contributions as sound designer on the recently released track “How It Feels” by Lil Baby, Lil Durk for its official music video, which scored No. 3 on YouTube’s trending visions and maintained its viral position even after the release.

“I have had the pleasure of working in the professional music, audio, and post-production industries for the last several years of my life. It is a blessing to know that my work has reached the ears of millions and millions of people around the globe, whether they know it or not,” JØREN said.

Additionally, JØREN was also the composer of the first trailer of the Hulu Original series Only Murders in the Building. The series features Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. The trailer was released across several platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Hulu. The producer has also composed original scores for Paramount and Disney.

JØREN went on to explain that “sound is the last thing” that film producers, directors, editors, and artists tackle for a project. “A lot of times, it is the colorist or VFX team(s) that are last to finish the job, but mixing, sound effects, and music is right there with them to help bring the project to the finish line. You have to know exactly what to do and exactly how long it will take and understand how to ask the right questions to get the project done,” he explained.

Besides his thriving career in the film industry, JØREN has become an authority in the global scene through his original music compositions for international advertising campaigns. The producer and sound designer has worked with Google, Mattel, Vogue, and more.

“Every situation and project is unique; there is someone’s vision behind it which I believe is the coolest part of what I do—helping bring that vision alive and supporting it through the art of sound,” shared JØREN. “Whether it is mixing, producing, recording, writing, editing, scoring—whatever it is, I always over-deliver and ensure that the quality of work is nothing short of outstanding,” he added further.

In five years, JØREN aims to win a Grammy award for his compositions, create Billboard-worthy originals, and write more scores for major motion pictures. “I like to set my bar high and reach for things that seem like they could never happen, but you know what? It can happen. It is all about your mindset, work ethic, and your network of people,” he said.

Joseph Bell, stage name Jobel Star, was chosen to perform for Walt Disney World in 1986 when Captain EO was released and sang Footloose with Goofy. He sang Nat “King” Cole’s “Unforgettable” at The Tomorrowland Terrace. Joseph even danced on a televised event Thriller, dancing with his performing arts schoolmates in Atlanta.

Jobel ended up with a scholarship to any college of his choice, accepting a vocal scholarship to Georgia State University. All this and many more events throughout the years wrapped up all in one person only to discover that one day, the world would be shaken in grief losing a fallen angel when Michael Jackson passed away.

Jobel Star is a known music personality notable for being the former lead vocalist of Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band 2007-2017+. Way back in the day, Joseph Bell appeared on Ed McMahon’s Star Search, an extra on “The Jacksons: An American Dream” (drummer on stage with the young Terrance Howard).

Live performing experience with The Rupert’s Orchestra and Papa Sol and a brief run with Prince Tribute, Jobel honed in his audience skills, then adding 12 more years travelling the world with Who’s Bad, the singer faced health challenges that landed him in the hospital.

After a show at BB Kings in NY, Jobel says a blessing came one day out of the blue when a fan backstage stated that he needed to do something about his hair. Jobel Star met a newfound best friend in Atlanta—Lynda Parrish, who was Michael Jackson’s latest celebrity hairstylist. After many deep conversations, Lynda told Jobel that she envisioned writing a book called The Hands That Touched a King, the story of Jobel Star. Lynda stated she felt that somehow Michael might be using him in some way. Lynda visited Jobel Star in the hospital along with relatives and friends to be by his side.

Jobel feels very honored for her to be in his life, having sometimes her famous hair creation customized closer to Joseph Jobel Star’s style for his hair (at times absolutely free) between tour dates as a gift many times over. Thankfully defying the normal recovery rate, the lead singer managed to recover quickly and immediately jumped back on stage to tour South America with Who’s Bad.

Many of his song recordings have been saved and now have reached a point of highest development available today inspired by the vocal power of these superstars.

Now Jobel Star welcomes his audience to THE FORCE original compositions, reintroducing himself to the world with the smash hits “My Heart’s Beating For You,” “Save Our World Infinity,” “Beyond Human The Legend Continues,” and the powerful love ballad “Want From Me,” which introduces a powerful sultry R&B as you will here with the sultry latest ETERNALLY

On today June 26, 2021 Jobel was reminded that he recognizes  ABILITIES from THE FORCE and though these 2 days are always rough for the fans I overheard Stephanie Mills and Charlemagne tell the story of the man he represents and certainly never will forget Michael’s Power and WAS the Power of Love So yes. Stephanie Mills mentioned CLEARLY That  is a Soldier THE MINISTER with CHARLAMAGNE THE GOD who never ever hides his opinion that somehow rhymes with mine when I know he has that voice and opinion to stand up for Black people no matter what condition and believes in the tradition of respect the ones are  the ones with Powers Of Love no one could match like that voice Jobel Star heard from the audience even before Whitney, the ere was Stephanie Mills! The memory of 2 children sitting alone who asked me, “Are you Michael” and with cameras I know around I said “How do you know , well you can verify too on my YouTube, shortly I taught them that no matter what they said or I said too, I don’t want to ruin your dreams too. Ok. Well why would you say that? Why are you here? One pointed to my hat I forgot I had on. I turned to look up and that STAR. Ok. They told me I just told one that means JUSTICE but that STAR IS HIS NAME TOO!

What was I supposed to do? When eventually the father showed up I suppose because the way he yanked them was RUDE but I knew where he worked too. There! Mila Nabours To Release New EP July 9th, 2021

Mila Nabours is an American actress, singer and dancer born August 12th, 2005 in Santa Monica, California. She is the daughter of professional classical musicians. Since a very young age, Mila has been a competitive gymnast winning many state and regional championships in both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics.

At age 11, Mila transitioned to dance, training in all styles with emphasis on acrobatics, hip-hop/jazz funk and contemporary. As a competitive dancer, Mila has won multiple awards and scholarships at national competitions. During the same year, Mila was discovered on social media by a casting director and landed a lead role in her first film.

Now, at the age of 15, Mila has booked several acting jobs including films, commercials, web series and music videos. She has also won multiple Best Young Actress awards for 2 of her films.

As a recording artist Mila has released several cover songs and 2 original songs available on all major platforms and is in a process of releasing her first EP on July 9th.

MIW sat down with the triple-threat phenom to find out more about her first EP and what goes on behind the scenes to create her inspiring music.

MIW: There’s been a bit of a buzz on social media about you and your new EP, can you give us a breakdown of some of the songs that you’ve been working on for this project?

Mila: Yes, I’ve been excited about this project and how it’s been coming together. “Hypnosis” is about the voice in my head telling me to escape reality in order to truly get out of my head, and escape my anxious thoughts. This sort of “hypnotic universe” I talk about in the song is my “out of reality” world that allows me to feel euphoric and free.

“New Moon” is about finding the full complete version of myself. In the song I reflect on my negative energy and pushing away my shadow so I can embrace my “new moon,” as I call it. It’s a full and complete version of myself.

“Catch Me” is all in all about getting out of my comfort zone and exploring and letting go of my self boundaries/barriers. In the song, I talk about reflecting off my own new energy created when I let free!

MIW: What has been your inspiration behind these songs or the EP in general?

Mila: What inspired me most to write these songs is the development as a person that I’m experiencing during this age, and the different ways in which I’m finding and discovering myself.

MIW: If you had to pick one, what major outside influence has helped shape your music and your lyrical content?

Mila: I use social media to influence my music since it is such a big part of my life! Social media portrays this aspect that people’s lives are perfect, which is a very false concept. I feel like my music and the messages I put out display more genuine emotions and sides of me, and I hope these messages relate with my audience.

MIW: What is your process to create music and who else is involved in your creative process?

Mila: Working with my team to create music is an incredible experience and always runs so smoothly. My producer and music manger, Andrew Lane, helps me every step of the way in making tracks and directing my vocals. I start the process in writing session with my co-song writer Mimi Tomer, and we come up with the melody and lyrics. Then I get in the studio and lay down the vocals, which is always so much fun. Lastly the song is mixed and mastered — and we have a final product!

MIW: Who are your biggest musical influences?

Mila: My biggest current-day musical influences are Chase Atlantic and The Weeknd. I’m drawn to their music because of the depth portrayed in their songs, as well the pop/indie vibe similar to the genre I enjoy making music in.

MIW: How would you describe your sound?

Mila: I would say my sound is melodic and smooth, but also upbeat and sometimes uptempo. I feel like the feel of my songs have variety, and this is why I like different aspects of each of my songs.

MIW: How can our readers find you on social media or contact you?

Mila: I mainly use Instagram, Youtube and TikTok. I’ll give you my social media handles so your readers can easily find me.

Blac Chyna Wishes Keith Milo Well on Set of His “Oasis” Music Video

Keith Milo, who is one of 2021’s Top 20 Musicians to watch according to NY Weekly, was filming his new music video for his latest song “Oasis.” It seems that Blac Chyna made an appearance. Hopefully, we can see some kind of cameo.

Keith has also been seen jet-setting around the world with Alex Jairus, who happens to be Chyna’s makeup artist, so it would make sense if Keith had some kind of collaboration in the works with Chyna. In a clip shared to the singer’s Instagram, Chyna and Alex can be seen on set before the beautiful rapper and model blows a kiss to the camera.

Chyna appears to be bringing all the good vibes to the set! Perhaps she’ll be attending some of Keith Milo’s upcoming performances this summer.

Up Close and Personal with Rising Musical Star LAxo.Joniyah

The desire to create art and music has been burning within us for as long as we have existed. It’s an essential part of our lives and interaction with music and is truly unavoidable. There’s music in films, games, and nursery rhymes. There’s music for every mood in the world. And then there’s music to feed your soul—that’s the kind of music and lovable content that LAxo.Joniyah wants to give to the world.

Joniyah is a rising young artist from Denver, Colorado. He also spent time being raised up in Texas, California, and New York. At a very young age, he loved the compositional and mood-evoking elements of music. He goes on to say “I’ve always enjoyed music due to being raised up in the church, the House of Joy. To be candid, I was young, so I only got to stay for the first part of church service, which was the musical or praise and worship segment of it. After which all the kids had to go to the children’s church. Though as I grew up my mamas (grandmother), my mom would wake my brother and I to head off to church on Sundays. From here, I was able to stay for the whole service and listen to the beautiful music played by the church’s apostle (Ralph E. Beechum) and the Praise Team while also enjoying the meaningful thought-provoking messages the apostle would cater to us during service. To add, music is in my blood. I guess I got it from my father (Johnny the Bad Apple Seed), who also had an impressive career in music. He was a talented artist/songwriter and producer. To note, my parents would play different varieties of music being Gospel, Hip Hop/Rap and R&B/Soul. I could  even recall times where I’d stay up till the next day listening to the radio and even the music channels just to listen to music. What else was I going to do?”

Through trial by fire and overcoming his introverted nature to reside in a place of comfort, he has been steadily mastering his passion for music for a little over seven years. The 22-year-old is an independent R&B/rap/hip-hop and alternative songwriter/producer who enjoys taking time to cultivate his craft to then showcase to the world. “I know it can be hard for that kid in the basement that spends hours, days and sometimes years manifesting an idea that then turns from thought to tangible notation. The best prescription I can prescribe to both myself and others is  ‘self-love’ and ‘self-acknowledgement.’ If you know you’re good at something in this one life that we all partake in and are passionate about, then let all the forces with you and against you align with your purpose and be the architect of your reality.”

With his innate ability to design a musical landscape of his own creation he has been digging deep within himself to escape the mundane lifestyle of your average 9–5. Joniyah says, “Folks tell me all the time, ‘I really like your music, bro.’”

His biggest inspirations are H.E.R., The Weeknd, and Drake. “I admire the footsteps of H.E.R. and The Weeknd as far as their mysterious approach to the music game—giving enough but not spoiling your appetite for them or their music.”

For Joniyah, Drake describes what it’s really like with acceptance and living in two households. It is widely known that Drake’s parents divorced when the future rapper was only five years old, and this has inspired many of his chart-topping records. Joniyah says Drake was a big reason as to why he pursued music because he spoke along the lines of what he himself had experienced in his childhood. He said that the albums Thank Me Later and Take Care were the most abstract forms of music that touched his soul.

Joniyah makes music for people who love quality recordings over quantity. Joniyah puts emphasis on the quality of his work, saying that other artists seldom care about the quality of their music but rather on the number of recordings that they can release or even quality of their status next to numbers they can produce. He describes the years 2000 to 2017 as his own personal golden years of music when artists put out high-quality tracks that reflected their hard work.

Joniyah is what the industry needs—a young artist with a unique sound who is willing and eager to put in the hard work and time to create a groundbreaking and thoroughly immersive listening experience.

Indeed, few artists have topped the charts or reached nationwide success in their years without putting in the backbreaking work it takes. Only time will tell whether LAxo.Joniyah will make it big, but his determination to succeed and his sheer passion for his music already puts him at a head start.

“Some day, I not only want to impress Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J Cole—the three GOATs of our time. I want to be in the Hall of Fame alongside the many greats that have created a musical pallet that has inspired the many generations before me,” he said.
