Naya Rivera’s Cause of Death Revealed

The cause of her death has been confirmed one day after Naya Rivera’s body was discovered in Lake Piru, Calif.

On Tuesday (July 14), the Ventura County Medical Examiner confirmed that an autopsy showed the cause of death of Glee actress to drown and that it was an accident.

“The autopsy findings are consistent with a drowning and the condition of the body is consistent with the time that she was submerged. No traumatic injuries or disease processes were identified at autopsy. There is no indication from the investigation or examination that drugs or alcohol played a role in [Rivera’s] death, but specimens will be submitted for toxicology testing,” the press release obtained by People read.

Rivera, 33, was missing with her 4-year-old son, Josey last week, after renting a boat in Lake Piru, California. When the boat didn’t return, staff found Josey alone, sleeping and wearing a lifejacket in the lake following the 3-hour rental. An adult life jacket still stood on board, thought to be Rivera’s. Rivera’s body was found on Monday (13 July), after a day’s search in harsh water conditions.

Former Background Singer of Mary J Blige Releases Her Own Single and Music Video

Trish Reed has had an amazing music career so far. She’s worked with a lot of well-known celebrities to get where she is today, performing her own music and just having a great time. Patricia Reed, aka Trish Reed as per her stage name, was born and raised in Mount Vernon, New York. 

Mount Vernon which is also the home of legendary talents such as Heavy D and the Boyz, Al B Sure, Case, Stephanie mills, Phylicia Rashad, Debbie Allen, Denzel Washington, Sean P Diddy Combs, Pete Rock, and CL Smooth, Kenny Money aka Kenny Smoove, comedian JB Smoove and the list goes on. 

Reed’s first exposure to music started when at the age of 4, she started singing in the church choir at Macedonia Baptist Church. She started with the children’s choir then moved on to the junior choir. She was also a part of a community choir called The Mount Vernon Community Choir under the direction of Bishop William Darin Moore and Bishop Brian Moore. As a young girl, many people realized that Reed possessed a beautiful singing voice. Her raw talent gave her many opportunities to sing and lead the children’s and adult choirs of her church throughout her upbringing. Not only did she have a talent for singing, but she also learned to play the piano by ear.

Through the years, Reed has performed in various talent shows. Eventually, she decided to audition for an all-female group called Explicit, which consisted of 4 other talented young ladies. The girl group was under the leadership of the famous Robinson brothers Jeff and Conrad, who put the group together. Explicit was then signed by the late legendary  artist William Guest of Gladys Knight & the Pips, who owned Guest Shot Records along with his sister Elizabeth Hollis Madison. The group was signed back in 1990 to 1992 and went on to perform in various places. Explicit performed all over the tri-state areas and worked with many A-list producers such as Tracmasters, Genard Parker, and MC Serch. Serch was formerly a member of the rap group called 3rd Bass.  After her brief stint with Explicit, Reed sailed the highs of her singing career and transitioned as a backup singer for Grammy Award-winning Mary J. Blige. Reed was quickly noticed by Mary J. Blige, and she would travel the world with her for over several years. During her time as a backup singer, she has worked with the likes of Dave Hollister and even managed to go on tour with Sean P Diddy Combs. 

She also worked with various artists as she sang in the background for them. Some artists, to name a few, are Kool Moe Dee and Steve Arrington, where Reed sang in the background for their single called Are You Beautiful. Reed also put her acting skills to good use in a short film with Fantasia Barrino, rounding out her resume and proving her sheer talent.  

After her time as a backup singer and with all the experience that she has amassed by working with various people in the music industry, Reed was finally ready to perform solo. She recently recorded a new single and music video called ‘Remember’ by Trish Reed featuring Kenneth Knowledge Brown, a very talented rapper and co-owner of a very popular barbershop—Professional CutCreatorz Barbershop—in Georgia, which is originally from the Bronx, New York. The song is also produced by Kenny Money, aka Kenny Smoove, Trish’s brother.

Aside from her ever-growing career in music, Trish has also written and created a music competition TV show that is in the process of getting picked up. She has also invented a bathroom global invention. Trish is determined to use all of her God-given talents, and there’s no telling where Trish Reed will go next.

There are several podcasts in the media landscape today. A podcast is recorded audio or video file accessible through various platforms and can be downloaded for consumption anywhere and anytime. Cameron Bickley is a podcaster and the genius behind the weekly musical podcast, The Sample.

A student during the day and a music enthusiast by night, the Air-Force-veteran-turned-podcaster browses through a vast collection of tracks and studies them for his program.

Cam does not prefer any genre over another. His podcast covers a wide range of musical genres like soul, funk, r&b, house, hip hop, among others. Because of his flexibility, Cam’s valuable and informative podcast climbed the ranks in Spotify’s Top 100 Music Podcasts in America. In addition, The Sample has also gone global with listeners from Germany, Great Britain, Canada, and 196 other countries. The podcast episodes have also been downloaded over 200,000 times.

Apart from The Sample, Cam doubles as a sketch comedian and a voice actor in other social media platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, and Facebook. To date, he has amassed a total of 5 million views and counting for all his content. Cam is a media influencer and a personality that is steadily rising to fame. John Wilson has been a prominent personality in the underground Ohio rap scene since the early ’90s. Today, he is ready to take on new roles as writer, director, and actor starring in a full feature film called Killing My Obsessions. The movie is produced and directed by his incredible team at Ausar Films.

John takes on the lead role of Fortune “The Wolf” in the film. It tells a story about a retired hitman and club owner who falls in love with the woman of his dreams. Later on, he learns that the woman he is head-over-heels with is the daughter of a Mexican cartel boss. Fortune “The Wolf” then finds out about the woman’s dark past in human trafficking.

Killing My Obsessions is not the typical love story we see on big screens. It is engaging in a way that the characters are well-thought of. 

As a musician, John’s career gained momentum with the help of his business partner and fellow music enthusiast, James Morgan. The duo learned through the ups and downs of the music industry as they coursed through the shifts of people’s preferences in genres.

James Morgan is the older brother of famous comedian Tracy Morgan. Others may think that because the partners have such connections in the industry, they had it easy. In a world of specialists, there are people like Jaclyn Taylor Brown who tread over multiple areas of expertise, a jack of all trades.

Brown is a full-time personal fitness trainer, a licensed real estate agent, a model, an actress, and a rapper. She doubles her 4-year day job as a trainer with her career in music, under the stage name Big Bad, short for Big Bad Wolf. When not in the gym assisting her clients, Brown is inside a studio collaborating with other artists to breathe life to tracks that ooze with character. Heinrich Heine once said, “Where words leave off, music begins.” Indeed, music has been regarded as a universal language to which each person from all parts of the world agrees on. Although music may vary by genre or language, the rhythm it consists of and the notes it plays are languages that appeal to the soul.

Although a bulk of the music we enjoy today contain lyrics that songwriters wanted to convey, the accompanying sound figuratively adds emotion, therefore attaching more definition to otherwise seemingly empty words. That is why Mark St. Rose uses this medium to teach men how to properly treat women and to help women understand men.

As an ardent musician, Mark manifested his love for his passion at a young age. He participated in anything that is related to the craft back when he was still a child. For instance, he sang together with his church choir and marched in a band and chorus in high school. Because he wants to continuously improve in the art, he vehemently trained himself on how to play some musical instruments like playing the piano, guitar, drums, bass, and other instruments, to fully equip himself. He also developed a love for poetry, which he would further transform into lyrics.

Being influenced by different genres like Pop, Rock, Neo-soul, House, and Jazz, it can no longer be repudiated that Mark is greatly resourced, and a well-oiled artist. Mark also stated how artists like Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, Lenny Kravitz, D’Angelo, and Prince have greatly influenced his music choices. Because of this, it can be revealed how flexible Mark is when it comes to his craft. What is interesting about Mark is that even though he had taken inspiration from many things, he substantially leaned towards Rhythm and Blues, or what is popularly known as R&B.

As a talented R&B artist, he produces, writes, and sings his own music. Mark even shared that every instrument that could be heard in his songs were personally played by him. Other than the musical instruments, he showcases a wide range of vocal talent in his songs that presents variety. He wanted to send a message to the world how R&B can further be appreciated by maximizing and introducing diversification and its missing factors. For example, Mark believes that playing guitar solos in his music would help bring back the lost art that cannot be heard from mainstream music today.

Being more than just a musician, Mark wanted to use the medium as a way for him to educate people. Specifically, he wants to bridge the gap between the communication of men and women. He does this by giving men the appropriate lessons needed to guide them in treating women, and an opportunity for the latter to understand the men’s emotions when they are unable to express themselves. He fancied a society where men and women exist together harmoniously and with misunderstandings that are at a minimum.

Mark hopes to facilitate bringing emotional awareness to the world. With his EP, entitled Mango, which is set to be released later this year, he wishes to fulfill his dream of unity and empathy.

U.S. ‘Looking At’ TikTok Ban Says Sec. of State Mike Pompeo

State Sec. Mike Pompeo said the U.S. would “surely look” at banning Chinese social media apps including TikTok’s short-form video app over national security and privacy issues.

“About Chinese applications on people’s mobile phones, I can tell you that the U.S. can get that one right too,” Pompeo said in an appearance on Monday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle, Fox News. “I don’t want to get out in front of the president, but we are looking at it.”

Pompeo added that people should download TikTok only “if you want your private information in the hands of the Communist Party of China.”

The news comes as TikTok is looking increasingly to distance itself from its Beijing-based parent company ByteDance. TikTok was barred from India last week along with 58 other China-made devices amid national security and privacy issues. TikTok ‘s ban came as a major blow as India was one of the fastest growing and most lucrative markets. There have even been rumors that a moratorium
was being looked at by the Australian Government.

The Hollywood Reporter has reached out for comment on TikTok.

TikTok also announced on Monday night that it was pulling out of Hong Kong after a controversial security law was passed by the city government last week.

Reuters reported on Monday night that Apple and Google ‘s app stores for Hong Kong are being removed by the social media giant.
“We’ve decided to stop operations of the TikTok app in Hong Kong in light of recent events,” a TikTok spokesperson told Reuters. The allegedly short-form shared video network has 150,000 users in Hong Kong.

Earlier Monday, Facebook , WhatsApp, Twitter, Google and Telegram all said they were suspending co-operation with Hong Kong police regarding user information requests.
