Growing up, ElleXentric watched her mother work multiple jobs and deal with the realities that come as a result of her skin color. Even this rising star had to contend with the struggles the Black community, unfortunately, had to face daily. “I often had to alter my appearance to work in a corporate world,” she shares. Her experiences fueled the drive behind establishing a name in the music industry as a way to express her creativity and confidence openly.

So, it did not come as a surprise that she would eventually decide on carving a path toward the forefront of the industry years down the road.
