Throughout the many changing seasons in Jlynn’s life, it was music that saved her from the pain of being abandoned by her mother at the young age of eight, experiencing the hopelessness of being homeless, and struggling to survive on the streets. Forced to fend for herself even as she grew up in one foster home after another, she realized early on that life meant serious business and that it is difficult to navigate through it alone. Determined to follow the path that music laid out for her, she is now using her gift to reach out to millions of people around the world who have ever been abandoned, lived in fear, and struggled with hopelessness.
Even as a young girl, Jlynn has always been fond of singing. It came naturally for her, and it lifted her spirits in ways she never imagined possible. No matter what she would be doing, music was her constant companion. Regardless of the state of her feelings in life, she always turned to music for comfort, healing, and hope. Knowing that she could not always rely on other people for the kind of emotional healing that she sought, Jlynn found love and safety in music.
“Music is my passion, it has saved my life on many occasions growing up facing major challenges and sorrows. Music has helped me through my hardships, and I wanted to be able to help others with my gift,” Jlynn reveals.
The Arizona-based pop singer looks up to several big names in the music industry as her source of inspiration whenever times get tough. She is especially drawn to the musical stylings of Sia, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Halsey, and King Princess, all independent women with powerful voices, remarkable songwriting skills, and superb creativity.
Jlynn has performed in over 30 shows throughout her music career, some of which were her own, while she opened for different artists in others. She has done front acts for Crooked I, Lyfe Jennings, Paul Wall, and Kirko Bangz, to mention a few.
She launched her debut single on YouTube titled “Down” on August 17, 2019. This 2020 proved to be a promising year for the rising artist despite the world crisis as she released her debut album called Jlynn Unveiled. As a diverse songwriter, Jlynn shares raw emotions that her fans can easily relate to. She mostly writes about her personal hardships, hurts, and how she has battled with them. In doing this, Jlynn hopes to bring healing and inspiration to those who are going through the same dilemma.
At present, Jlynn is getting ready to launch her business venture, the Jlynn Shop, which features apparel for children and fur babies. She believes that this is another avenue for her to express her creativity and reach out to an even bigger audience.
Looking to the future, Jlynn sees herself growing and maintaining a massive fan base and pouring out her heart to them through her natural flow as a gifted lyricist. She hopes to continue to share her challenging and inspiring life stories, to show people that despite the many adversities of life, they can always choose to pursue their dreams, live a life with purpose, and be happy. By using her own pain depicted in her music to connect with her fans, she aspires to help them overcome theirs. For Jlynn, life is too short and precious to be wasting away in regret and anger because of how people hurt her in the past. With a heart filled with gratitude and a dream fuelled by her deep love for music, she is ready to become the star she is destined to be.
