Boston-based quartet Sophie’s Body has independently released its debut album, Zero, the band announced. The eight-track record was produced by Justin Termotto at Thump Recording Studios in Brooklyn and mastered by Sasha Stroud at Artifact Audio, the same team behind the band’s 2025 EP Mandatory Girl.
The album’s centerpiece, “Socialyte Zero,” arrives with an official visualizer. Frontwoman Sophie McMinn, who fronts the self-described “bubble grunge” group alongside drummer Dylan Hughes, bassist Harry Van Der Meer and guitarist Adam Hurt, called the album an “accidental concept record” built around themes of unease and anxiety.
Sophie’s Body played Shaky Knees Music Festival in September alongside acts including The Rapture, Sir Chloe and Pavement, and is set to headline a run of U.S. club dates through December before appearing at New York’s New Colossus Festival in 2027.
