THE ELEM, the Portugal-founded project of songwriter and producer M.L. Leichter, has released the single “Times That… [Radio Edit],” the third track from the upcoming EP ‘Perhaps, It’s Me,’ due November 16 via Absolute Label Services UK. The project brings together a rotating group of remote collaborators and blends rock, alternative and indie influences, with lyrical themes touching on mortality, paranoia and unfulfilled love, according to the announcement.

The single was mixed by Mike Fraser, whose past credits include AC/DC, Aerosmith and Metallica, at Armoury Studios in Vancouver, and mastered by Billy Joe Bowers at Casa de Amor in Tucson, Arizona. Artwork was created by James Marsh, known for his work on Talk Talk album covers.

Leichter describes a layered production process involving multiple vocal and drum takes per song, with final versions assembled from the strongest performances rather than a fixed arrangement. The ‘Perhaps, It’s Me’ EP is described in the announcement as the product of a creative journey spanning more than two decades.
