Tiger La Flor has released a four-track holiday EP, “Once Upon a Christmastime,” via Arista Records, featuring one original song and covers of “Blue Christmas,” “Last Christmas” and “White Christmas.” The project blends strings, mariachi horns, sitar and orchestral pop arrangements, drawing on the artist’s stated admiration for Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole recordings.
The EP’s original track, “Made It to Christmas,” was written as a reflective, soul-inflected song about perseverance and gratitude, according to the artist. The title “Once Upon a Christmastime” is intended as a nod to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ 1984 holiday album “Once Upon a Christmas.”
The release follows La Flor’s EP “HOLLYWOODLAND,” which the label says has topped one million streams. Collaborators on the new EP include mixer/mastering engineer Adam Ayan and producer Pat Howard, among others. La Flor is scheduled to play a headline show in Los Angeles on December 10, with a debut full-length album and additional tour dates planned for 2027.
