If you are an artist or band needing to get more exposure, announce your latest single release, or shout your story from the rooftop, MIW’s Artist Spotlight Program is for you. We understand that it’s extremely difficult to get the recognition you deserve in this overcrowded online world. This program was designed to place your Artist Spotlight Feature next to Editorial Features of major artists that have become household names. After all, the best way to build your credibility is to be seen alongside credible artists who are able to get millions of hits and streams online.
How Does It Work?
Artist Spotlight Features are published on MIW just like Editorial Features. However, there are a few important differences:
- You Create Your Own Advertorial Content
- You Upload Your Own Pictures
- Your Article Will Be Listed In The “Artist Spotlight” Category
- You Pay An Advertorial Fee To Post Your Article
The MIW homepage lists all of the articles by date. This means that your Artist Spotlight Feature will be displayed on the MIW homepage with all of the other Featured Articles, News, and Events immediately upon our approval and publishing of your article. You will be able to share your article link with your friends, PR team, and in other publications. You will be well on your way to creating a buzz and building up your online presence and credibility!
How Much Does It Cost?
We’ve heard hundreds of stories about artists trying to get an advertorial feature in Billboard or Rolling Stone. The average advertising fee for these major publications is approximately $25,000-$50,000. They won’t even consider doing a free Editorial Feature on you unless you are already a big deal. Music Industry Weekly’s standard Advertorial fee is only $595 for an Artist Spotlight Feature and we anticipate this price going up significantly in the near future. MIW also runs discount promotions on a limited basis (see below for the current deal). These promotions are not guaranteed to last and prices are subject to change. We simply don’t want to overpopulate our Publication with Advertorials, so we limit the number of Artist Spotlight Features we publish in any given week.

Getting started with an Artist Spotlight Feature is easy.
